CLINICAL NURSE INSTRUCTOR

New Market Skills Center’s Professional Medical Careers program is seeking a compassionate, professional LPN or RN to provide clinical guidance and oversight to high school students working toward their Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC). 

POSITION OVERVIEW:  

The Clinical Nurse Instructor will supervise a group of up to 10 students at one of our partnered long-term care clinical facilities. All students are required to complete 40 hours of clinical experience,and the instructor plays a crucial role in ensuring skill development, safety, and a supportive learning environment. 

SCHEDULE & COMMITMENT:  

• Timeframe: Late February through early April
  
• Hours: 7: 30 AM – 1: 40 PM, Monday through Friday
  
• Possible additional weekend hours
  
• Approximately one-month commitment

REQUIREMENTS:

• Current Washington State LPN or RN license
  
• Current CPR certification
  
• Ability to pass a Washington State background check
  
• 1 year of long-term care experience preferred
  
• Passion for supporting and mentoring young learners

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide supervision and guidance to students during clinical rotations
  
• Model professional nursing standards and safe patient care
  
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and program instructors
  
• Assess student skills and support their learning needs
  
• Uphold facility and program policies at all times
