City Manager

City Manager performs professional, managerial, administrative and technical work related to leading and operating the organization and infrastructure of the City of Dos Palos. Makes recommendations to the City Council. Determines the legality, financial feasibility, insurability, safety, and achievability of the policy goals of the City Council. The City Manager performs any combination of the following: The City Manager oversees personnel and hires all employees.  Supervises and evaluates Department Directors and activities of the Department of Finance & Personnel; Police & Animal Control; Public Works, Parks, Streets, and Storm Drainage; Water and Wastewater Utilities; city provided services of Building, Planning, Fire and Recreation; contract services such as Refuse. Coordinates with City Attorney, City Engineer, and Independent Auditor.  Maintains collegial relationships with nearby city managers, elected officials, and local legislators.
